Message remembered reading some article about the history of Z and skyline, there were suppose to be some inside politic went on about the skyline vs. Z. where skyline belonged to a line of cars traced back to the Prince automotive company, a company absorded by nissan, and skyline were a showoff toy of the executives.

The inline RB series engine is an awsome engine, sad that its days is over, and now overran by the more versatile and very adaptable VQ series and its dervatives. The VG/VQ finally killed off the inline RB. I mean, sure ultimately VQ engine is better for track, but inline like RB have more space for modding(turbo) for the street for the rest of us.

if it's up to VW group handle the engine, who loved to combine and experiment with engine like they created V-18 V-16 v-8 v-12, it would be interesting to combine two inline RB to form a twin or quad turbo V-12

and I guess what this mean is that nismo will develope the next GTR on track after all, instead of handing it to lotus, this is a more logical and money saving move
